Sharla has been an artist all of her life. She started making drawings, cards and gifts for her family when she was just a toddler. From there she went on to art school and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design.

Sharla’s experience in the licensing world is extensive. She took positions with three different companies in the art licensing business. She headed up creative teams, who’s focus was to design products featuring licensed properties such as The Walt Disney Company, Nickelodeon and Warner Brothers, to name a few. She met with account executives and design directors as part of managing those licenses. Sharla then went on to take a management position with a party goods company in Indianapolis. She worked with freelance artists who licensed their designs and she also found time to design her own original art. Sharla’s designs became top sellers at retail stores all over the country.

In 2004, Sharla started her own art licensing business which continues grow more successful each year. Her artwork can be found on a wide range of products such as greeting cards, ceramic tabletop, kitchen textiles and decorative flags.

Sharla’s artwork is eye-catching, colorful and fun. Her style ranges from traditional, to contemporary and trendy. She thoroughly enjoys working with her clients to create great selling product that has a wide range of appeal. Sharla always strives to meet deadlines and go above and beyond client expectations; clients often tell her how easy she is to work with. Sharla’s artwork illuminates the joyful aspects of life that are simple, yet they are what connect us to our friends, families and our world.

My customers are manufacturers who license my art to feature on their products, those products are then sold to retailers such as Target, Tuesday Morning, Lowes Home Improvement, Kroger, Big Lots, Bealls, Fred Meyer, etc.

I have used DCG’s services for two of my Surtex shows, 2010 and 2011. Surtex is the premier Art Licensing show held in New York City every May. It is a trade show where thousands of manufacturers come to find artwork to license on their products. I have had a wide array of products printed at DCG, such as business cards, brochures, post card mailers and booth panels. I have used other local and web printers in the past but none of their graphics come close to the quality I find at DCG. DCG’s color is spot on, their substrates are quality and the service is unbeatable. I am treated like I am the best and only customer and your sales associates will go above and beyond with their customer service. Would you believe I have not been to your actual facility? I upload all of my files and I have either had my graphics dropped off to my door or I have met someone halfway!
